In the artist's words

I am Krzysztof Kicel, a self-taught contemporary abstract artist from Poland.

My artistic journey began approximately five years ago with automatic drawing. From the beginning, I was fascinated by the freedom of creating without a predetermined plan, allowing intuition, movement, and imagination to guide my hand.

My creative process is deeply connected to the way my mind works. After discovering that I have ADHD, I began to understand why painting gives me such an extraordinary sense of concentration and freedom. Art allows me to transform the constant movement of thoughts into a visual language.

A distinctive feature of my work is rotational abstraction. I create compositions that can be viewed from multiple directions. Each rotation reveals new faces, structures, characters, and stories that were not necessarily visible before.

I also experiment with fluorescent UV paints, which introduce another dimension to my paintings. Under ultraviolet light, hidden elements emerge and the artwork takes on a different character.

For me, painting is more than creating an image. It is a process of exploration and self-discovery.

Some of my works function as symbolic games, where the viewer becomes an adventurer navigating a world of choices, emotions, and discoveries. These journeys have no final destination because personal growth and the pursuit of perfection are never truly complete.

I believe that every artwork contains multiple possibilities and that every viewer can discover something unique within it.

Through my art, I invite people to look beyond the obvious, change their perspective, and discover their own stories within the composition.
